General Rules

Fest Rules (as stated in the community profile page)

1. You must be at least 18 years of age to submit/receive R/NC-17 work.

2. This is a fic/art exchange, which means that in order to receive a gift, you must submit one, and vice versa. All assignments will be made by the mods. If participants have concerns about their assignment, they must email the mods at

3. Sign-ups will be done on a first-come, first-served basis. We'll leave sign-ups open until the deadline, or until we reach 60 participants -- whichever comes first.

4. Submitted works may not be posted anywhere by the author/artist until reveals are up. Failure to maintain anonymity may result in your entry being pulled from the fest and your username being blacklisted.

5. Rules for submission:
- Fiction must be at least 1000 words in length and beta read. If your submission is riddled with SPaG issues, we will send it back for further editing. Formatting is also the author's responsibility. If you forget to add in the HTML tags, we won't do it for you.
- There are no set requirements for art. Artists, use your own judgment -- obviously, a quick crayon sketch is not appropriate.
- Remember, you're writing for someone else using their prompt. Any works that blatantly neglect the recipient's requests will be sent back.

6. On pairings: het, slash, and femmeslash are all allowed. Cross-gen pairings involving at least one next gen character (ex: Harry/Teddy) are also allowed. All characters involved must be canon characters.

7. The extension policy will be very strict. All participants are allowed one extension each, and these extensions are limited to a maximum of one week. If you absolutely can't make it in one week (i.e. your hard drive crashed or your house burned down), email us and we'll work something else. Otherwise, if your submission isn't turned in by the end of your extension, you will be kicked out of the fest.

8. Pinch hitters: we'll be making a post after assignments are sent and confirmed where pinch hitters can sign up.

If you're unfamiliar with gift exchange fests, please read r_becca's guide to being a good fest participant before you sign up.

The schedule is also posted on the profile page, and will be reposted before sign-ups.
